Alien vs. Predator, most commonly referred to as AVP, was a conjunction of two
very successful science fiction films. The Alien saga began its production first, releasing
the film Alien in 1979 under the direction of Ridley Scott. Starring Sigourney Weaver,
and Tom Skerritt, Alien plunges its audience into a suspenseful space expedition with a
team of space voyagers sent to investigate a distress call on the darkest side of the moon.
